Nutty Fudgekins - may as well be here we are as where we are

What's going on?

Earth is falling apart.
the powers that be have declared war on a noun
good old Johnny assures us that our most important civil liberty is to stay alive, and by gum if he has to violate every other one to uphold his promise no doubt he will
if Australia doesn't change its economic structure it could fall to 18th in the G.D.P race
a never-ending pursuit of economic growth that is consuming our planet at a ridiculous rate.
bummin

so?
people are happy working all day
coming home to their reality tv of choice
home renovations
celebrity dance contests

rappers pimpin cars
singing contests
transsexuals
golf
Some two bit ‘entrepreneur’ being chased by a current affairs program
people eating the insides of various insects
Plastic women and ballooned men continue the cycle of consumerism, planting the seeds that will sprout into ideas by the time we reach the store.
the weekend comes and its off to Harvey Norman
you've worked hard all week
time to pamper yourself with a new big screen as the old set fell victim to planned obsolesce
two weeks out of warranty. Unbelievable
and so the routine continues until retirement upon which time you're now old enough and you've worked hard enough to bitch about everything.
especially the youth of today
you vote for whoever promises financial gain despite politicians having no control over the global economic issues that dictate trends.
taxes are high because the government has the highest advertising budget in Australia
our society is so full of fear that despite change being inevitable, we are delaying it until it is absolutely necessary
we're fucked.

and still the focus is on growth

"Compiled by Access Economics, the report said the government must start a raft of reforms from education to cutting red tape if Australia is to keep its place as one of the world's richest nations.
The report found that with a range of changes, the economy could grow at four per cent annually over the next 20 years, almost double that expected.

"The Howard government's 'She'll be right' attitude to the economy, and their unwillingness to do the hard yards to ensure future growth, leaves Australia unprepared for the economic opportunities and challenges ahead," Mr Swan said in a statement.

"The BCA report highlights the real cost to the economy and households if we don't embrace a new wealth creation agenda that dramatically boosts Australia's competitiveness."

Mr Swan noted that, in launching the report, BCA president Hugh Morgan stressed the need for an economic strategy to deal with a litany of economic challenges.
These included slowing growth, declining productivity, unsustainable household debt, a record current account deficit, and excessive regulation.

"The report points to strong indications that Australia's performance has been slipping in terms of its competitiveness and general economic standing," he said.

"BCA concludes that Australia is reaching the limits of its productive capacity and further reform is required for the economy to grow at rates similar to that of the last decade and we cannot take even our current strong economic position, let alone future, for granted."

He said the report's modelling showed real, lasting gains and higher living standards could be achieved if the government put in place a genuine economic strategy."

Who said they were unsavoury?
I was talking about reality television shows that exploit them for profit.
